The XU-81/XU-81W is a versatile, remote control, indoor/outdoor
single 1/3" CMOS camera system, featuring a compact, highly
waterproof and dustproof design which is ideal for challenging
locations and environmental conditions. Applications include:
Outdoor and Indoor Event Broadcasting, Weather POV, Traffic POV,
Outdoor Monitoring, Education and Video Conferences. For outdoor
applications, the XU-81W is equipped with a motorized ND filter and
a wiper unit. An optional washer unit is also available.
A single 1/3-inch CMOS imaging sensor with a 2.1 Megapixel, 20x HD
zoom lens and Auto Focus captures exceptional, high-quality images
in full-HDTV format with excellent colour reproduction.
An optional operation unit (OP-300) is available that enables
smooth pan and tilt movements while zooming using a single pre-set
button on the control panel. This allows for on-air movements
similar to manually-operated cameras. For long distance operation
the camera can also be controlled from a PC using an internet
connection. HD-SDI output delivers beautiful images from a distance
of up to 100m.
The XU-81/XU-81 W offers a wide angle of rotation (Pan +/-
180° and Tilt +220° to -40°) and precise 40°
per second movement in Standard Mode. High Speed Mode accelerates
movement by 50% to 60° per second. Operation is very quiet
with a noise rating of NC<30 in Standard Mode, enabling use in
areas such as libraries or conference rooms. An image flipping
function automatically flips images so they are not upside down due
to the angle tilt.
Compact and lightweight, the camera weighs only 6.6kg (XU-81) or
7kg (XU-81W) and includes a handle for easy portability. It can be
mounted upright, inverted or suspended from a ceiling for
